The MLB 44346 served its life assigned to the U.S. Coast Guard Station in Monterey Bay, California.  

1965-2000 Stationed at Monterey Bay California (Active Duty)

2000-2002 Dry docked?

2002-2006 Army Corp of Engineers (restoration project)

2006- current Privately owned (restoration project)

Many thanks to Dane Ramos for his help in gathering critical information regarding the MLB-44346 mechanical and operational data. Dane served on the MLB-44346 down in Monterey Bay and is currently stationed in Newport, OR operating the new 47's. As well Russ Burress for his photos, news articles, and details about his time on the 44346.





The actual history book with all the details will pass onto the new owner of the MLB-44346.

                                                                                    S.F. for maintenance.
                                                                  Rode her out 50 knotts in 20 foot waves

                                                                    on a SAR looking for a lost boat, and

                                                                  then brought her back in 20 foot waves being
                                                             swamped on the way in, but made it home as usual.

1989-1990       John Schlank coxswain            worked on the 44308 in channel island

                                                                                                  harbor.
                                                borrowed the 44346 when the 44308 was  
                                                in for major repairs after rolling it on the
