This vessel is designed
to provide 44 ft of self-righting quality. You heard me right! If broadsided by a wave large enough
to turn it over, it is designed to return to an upright position in 30 seconds or less. The 44' Motor Life Boat was the Coast Guard's
standard heavy weather & surf rescue response platform.
They were built to
withstand the most severe conditions at sea and are capable of affecting a rescue at sea even under the most difficult circumstances.
They are self-bailing, self-righting, almost unsinkable, and have a long cruising radius for their size.
